Austrian, dial signed "Franz Grofs, Wien", 8 days, time and strike, 2 weight walnut serpentine case Vienna regulator, c1880
CONDITION:
the glossy dark stained case is in very good condition with some minor scuffs and scrapes. The front glass is old and wavy, one side panel is cracked. The top crest needs a dowel replaced to sit properly, and there is an extra bottom finial included. The white enameled dial is good; the brass weights show some tarnish. The movement, with rear mounted gong and threaded beat adjuster, is nice quality. Ht
